Things to do during your stay

Diamond Botanical Gardens & Mineral Baths

Your stay at St. Remy Plantation includes one complimentary day touring the famous Diamond Botanical Gardens and Waterfall, and bathing in the Mineral Baths. Managed by Mrs. Joan Devaux, the owner of St. Remy Plantation, the Diamond Botanical Gardens and Mineral Baths were featured in Woman & Home Magazine, February 1998.

Nearby beaches

The nearest beach is at the Jalousie Plantation (just a 15-minute drive) as well as a few small hidden coves nearby.  Ask your driver James about them.  Mary will pack picnic lunches for you to enjoy there.

Snorkelling and Diving

Anse Chastanet Resort is the best place for snorkeling and diving on the island.  The road to Anse Chastanet is very bad so we recommend you have your driver James take you. Or James can drop you at the Soufriere Ferry to the Marine Reserve where you can snorkel and scuba dive at one of the most lauded dive spots in the Caribbean.

The World's Only Drive-in Volcano

Visit the nearby Sulphur Springs ‘’drive-in” volcano and hot-springs, a popular attraction.

Shopping in Castries

A day-trip up the scenic west coast either by car or by water taxi is in order for a day of great shopping and dining in St. Lucia's capital, Castries. Point Seraphine is a duty-free shopping complex that you may wish to visit, but be sure to bring your passport and airline tickets so you can shop at duty-free prices.

Dining

For guests staying a week or more at St. Remy, we recommend an occasional evening out to sample the delights of local restaurants.

In the town of Soufriere enjoy local Caribbean fare at the Hummingbird Beach Resort located on the waterfront.

The Bayside Restaurant at Jalousie Plantation is set between the Pitons and serves International Caribbean cuisine in a relaxed oceanfront setting.

Anse Chastanet Hotel offers local and international cuisine in an oceanfront setting.

Jade Mountain, enjoy fine Caribbean cuisine set high atop a mountain while delighting in breathtaking views of the Pitons.

The Dasheen Restaurant at Ladera Resort offers creole style cuisine in an open air setting with a view of the Pitons.

Mango Tree Restaurant at Stonefield Estate, enjoy al fresco dining while taking in views of the magnificent Petit Piton and the Caribbean Sea.

The Cocoa Pod and Jardin Cacao Restaurants at Fond Doux offer up sumptuous Caribbean and international cuisine in beautiful tropical environs.
